Your data never leaves your Mac.
BeAutomating opens your spreadsheets, transforms them, and writes the result back — all on your own machine. There is no server behind it, so there is nowhere for your data to go.

The short version
- ✓No account. You don't sign up or sign in to use the app.
- ✓No collection. We do not collect, receive, or store any of your data or how you use the app.
- ✓No tracking, no ads. No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
- ✓Your files stay put. The files you open are read and written on your Mac and are never uploaded.
What we collect
Nothing. As the developer, we do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share any information about you or your use of BeAutomating. There is no server we send your data to, because BeAutomating does not have one.
Your files and pipelines
The spreadsheets, CSVs, and JSON files you open are read directly from your disk, processed in memory on your Mac, and written back where you choose. The pipelines you build — the sequence of transforms — are saved locally alongside your other application data. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
Because everything lives only on your Mac, deleting the app removes its stored pipelines with it. We hold no copy and cannot recover them for you.
Connecting to your own databases and APIs
The Individual subscription can connect to a SQLite file, a Postgres database, or a REST API. When you use that feature, your Mac talks directly to the address you entered. That connection does not pass through us, and we never see the address, the credentials, or the data that comes back. Those systems are yours; how they handle your data is governed by whoever runs them.
AI assistance
The optional AI assistance in BeAutomating runs on your Mac. Your prompts and the model's responses are processed locally and are not sent to us or to any third-party service. If you choose to connect your own model provider through the Prompt Bridge, that request goes directly from your Mac to the provider you configured — again, never through us.
Purchases
BeAutomating offers an optional subscription. All payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive, or store your name, card number, or any payment detail. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics & tracking
There are none. BeAutomating contains no analytics frameworks and no advertising or tracking libraries. Because we do not track you across apps or websites, the app does not ask for tracking permission.
Children
BeAutomating is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at children. Regardless of who uses it, no data is collected from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update the page and its effective date. Because BeAutomating collects nothing, any change would be about clarity, not about new data practices.
