Frequently asked
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No. BeAutomating works fully offline and never asks you to sign in. The only feature that uses the network is connecting to a database or API you configure yourself.
What file types can it read?
CSV, Excel (.xlsx), and JSON. Export goes back out to CSV, Excel, or JSON.
Where are my pipelines stored?
On your Mac, in the app's own storage. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app removes them, so export anything you want to keep.
What does the subscription add?
Individual adds live connections to SQLite, Postgres, and REST APIs, on-device AI assistance, and the Prompt Bridge. The free tier's local file automation has no time limit.
How do I restore a purchase on a new Mac?
Open Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Sign in to the same Apple Account you bought with.
Is my data used to train anything?
No. Your data is never uploaded, so there is nothing to train on. The optional AI runs on your Mac.
It won't open a file — what now?
Check the file isn't open in Excel with a lock on it, and that the first row contains your column headers. If it still fails, email us the error text.
